- How will the household actually use it?
- What problems are you trying to solve?
Questions about budget
- What is the total comfortable budget?
- What is the contingency for surprises?
- Where would you happily spend more if it improved the result?
Questions about timeline
- When do you need it finished?
- Are there immovable dates around it?
- Are you living in the home during the works?
Questions about materials
- What style are you drawn to?
- Standard, premium or imported finishes?
- Who is selecting and ordering?
Questions about drawings and approvals
- Are drawings required for the scope?
- Are any permits or approvals needed?
- Who is responsible for what?
Questions about site access
- Parking, power, water, storage?
- Pets, kids, neighbours?
- Working hours?
Questions about communication
- Who is the single point of contact?
- How often will you be updated?
- What channel - calls, messages, email?
Questions about what happens when issues appear
- How are surprises handled?
